Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF )
Human blood is rich in leucocytes and growth factors that promote healing of surgical sites such as from extractions. Using PRF technology, the patient’s own blood is drawn and spun in a centrifuge to obtain a platelet rich fibrin which can be used in surgical sites to promote healing as well as to support bone and soft tissue growth. It can be used in place of utilizing membrane material derived from porcine.
Your Own Tooth – A Natural Bone Graft
Bone grafting is a common procedure used in dentistry for bone preservation, augmentation, as well as for tissue and bone contouring for the stability of prosthesis like dental implants.
When a tooth is extracted, it leaves an open tooth socket. When filled with a bone graft, the site is preserved and maintained, providing a matrix for your own bone to grow and replace it. Common bone graft materials are sourced from human cadaver (allografts), bovine (xenografts) and symthetic sources (alloplasts). A less common source are autografts, from “self”.
We have the technology to process your own extracted teeth into bone grafting material. Our teeth contain mineralized tissue and bioactive growth factors, providing for a quality graft material in addition to being safe and without risk of immune reactions or inadvertent transmission of disease.
